Dream Comes True for Alton Bay Six Year Old!

Manchester, NH:  Black Friday started in a bright and sunny way for six year old Alyssa Ball and her family, as they were greeted by a stretch limo in their driveway at 3:45 a.m., generously provided by Border Limo of Hudson, NH.  Alyssa’s parents contacted High Hopes Foundation in April in hopes of fulfilling Alyssa’s dream of meeting the Disney princesses.  Alyssa’s week long journey began on Friday, November 23, 2012, with the limo ride fit for a princess.

Alyssa has cerebral palsy, which affects her leg muscles most significantly, requiring her to wear leg braces and use walking sticks and a walker.  Alyssa, her parents, and grandparents headed to Give Kids the World in Orlando, Florida,  for a week of ice cream, princesses, parks, and fun.  Give Kids the World is a resort and park designed especially for children with severe or life-threatening illnesses and is completely handicap-accessible for children and their families. The children must be referred by a wish-granting organization, such as High Hopes Foundation of New Hampshire.

High Hopes Foundation of New Hampshire provides hope, light and joy to children ages three to eighteen living in New Hampshire with severe or chronic illnesses.   We have been able to make 550 dreams come true for local children since our founding in 1983.  To learn more about how you can get involved with High Hopes or if you know a child who may be eligible, please contact us at 603.429.1010 or visit our website at  We can also be found on Facebook at   #
